What Clean.tools is
Clean.tools is a growing collection of small, focused tools that run entirely in your browser. It covers image tools like resizing, cropping, compressing, and metadata removal; developer tools like JSON formatting, regex testing, hashing, and JWT decoding; text tools like word counting, case conversion, and redaction; finance tools like mortgage, compound interest, and APR calculators; time tools like cron, RRULE, strftime, and time zone conversion; and a few fun tools for good measure. Each one loads fast, works on mobile and desktop, and processes your data locally.
The no-nonsense promise
Every tool here is built to do its one job well, with no fluff around it. You land on a page, you use the tool, you get your result. There is no wizard to click through, no upsell, and no marketing wall between you and the thing you came to do. Your files and text never leave your device, because the work happens in your browser, not on a server. If you want to confirm that, open the Network tab in your developer tools and watch: the page loads once and then goes quiet.
No dark patterns
Plenty of online tools are quietly designed to wear you down. This site is the opposite. Here is what you will never run into:
